Los Pelicanos is located on the beach at the southeast corner of the zocalo (village square) in Puerto Morelos. A few parking spaces are available at the restaurant. If they are unavailable, parking is permitted around the square. Los Pelicanos has both indoor and outside seating. Nearly everyone eats outside on the patio where there is a wonderfully relaxing view of the sea.
Staff are very attentive and so pleased when you return for another visit to their restaurant.
The menu consists primarily of seafood dishes such as grilled shrimp, grouper, fried shrimp, lobster, conch, etc. Most dishes can be prepared grilled, grilled in garlic butter, and Yucatan style (cooked with tomatoes, peppers, onions). We did not try appetizers or dessert. As with most restaurants in the area, you are served homemade salsa and tortilla chips upon arrival. Included in this is a small dish of sauce made from the habanero pepper. Use caution!
The breakfast menu contains a variety of egg dishes, meat, and hotcakes. Omelettes were good, as were the hotcakes and the Mexican style eggs (cooked with peppers, onion, and tomatoes. We are looking forward to returning to Los Pelicanos.
