Ore House at the Pine Grove

Ore House at the Pine Grove

Great hearty food in wonderful Old West atmosphere. This restaurant is housed in an barn that is over 100 years old. The barn was converted into a restaurant in 1971, and now it one of the oldest established restaurants in Steamboat.

We loved the old stoves, wagon wheels, chaps and other ranch memorabilia in the place. I had a great salmon baked in white wine. My husband had a tender sirloin steak. We enjoyed their salad bar and the house potato, which is shredded red potatopes seasoned wiht cilantro and onion and fried in canola oil, then topped with cheese sauce.

We enjoyed our meal. This restuarant used to be part of a farm and the building has a silo. Interesting decor inside. Quiet setting. Very pleased with the service.
