The Columbia Restaurant is a great culturul experience. The restaurant's sister first opened in Tampa in 1901 and this is has excellent Cuban cuisine. If you like salads, a specialty is the 1901 Salad.

I love to sit outside at a small table on the street and watch the people walk by on St. Armand's circle. I feel a little like I'm in Europe. The restaurant has a nice menu of fish, chicken and other typical spanish dishes but for a upscale meal, I would go next door to Cafe L'Europe. At Columbia, I usually sit outside and enjoy a few glasses of the world's best sangria, a bowl of cuban black bean soup and some cuban bread with cold butter. The signature salad is a nice extra sometimes. If you are in the mood for excellent Cuban food, head to Tampa.
