My boyfriend and I were just passing through Destin looking for somewhere to eat lunch. We happened to see a billboard for Pompano Joes and decided to give it a try. This was the best food I have had in a while. The food and the atmosphere were great! I had maui-maui and he had steak. Both were delicious. I would recommend this place to everybody!

Wow! What can I say about Pompano Joe's? I love this place so much I wrote a song about it! This is the quintessential beach shack/bar/restaurant. It is very casual and located DIRECTLY on beach. The views are spectacular and food is not only good but reasonably priced (for example: a chicken sandwich with ham & cheese, pineapples and fries = $6.99). The staff is laid back and friendly, and music and the smell of saltwater fill the air. Their menu has something for everyone--seafood, hamburgers, chicken, desserts, etc. To avoid long waits, go during off-season or when they first open at 11:00am. You will love it!

This was the neatest place. They had a luau on one night and there was all the food you could eat and specialty drinks on the beach. The kids had contests and the adults had lounge chairs and there was a bonfire. It was great. The food in the restaurant was great too when we ate there another night.

We went on a bike tour and stopped here for lunch. Pompano Joe's is a great place for seafood. The windows are boards that open up over your head and you can hear the waves and smell the salt air while eating your meal. I had a popcorn shrimp sandwich -- I have never had one and I did not know how they were going to make a sandwich out of popcorn shrimp. They put a lot of shrimp on a bun and it was so delicious.

Here are a few things from the menu
Appetizers: Coral Reef Nachos and Reggae Rolls
Soups & Salads: Chicken Caesar Salad
Seafood Sandwiches: Fried Oyster, Fried Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, Grouper, Shrimp, Tuna and Crab Cake
Seafood Selections: Chargrilled Mahi Mahi, Chargrilled Amberjack, Chargrilled Tuna, Chargrilled Grouper, Fried Oysters, Fried Amberjack, Fried Shrimp and Fried Scallops
Joes Favorites: Snow Crab Fest (Grilled or steamed)
Kids Menu Yes, they have one.
