The Outback Steakhouse is apparently a well-known chain of restaurants in the US, but as Brits, this was out first encounter.
The actual restaurant was very clean and well staffed. The theme appeared to be Australia. I am not sure if this is the same theme throughout the chain or not. At the time we visited there were very few people there and we had a choice of seating. The service was very polite and quick.
The menu was quite extensive. I had Grilled Shrimp for starters which was lovely; my husband had Buffalo Wings which he too enjoyed. The main courses include things such as salads, sandwiches, steaks, chicken, fish, pasta etc. The desserts were all huge and calorie laden with items such as cheesecakes, ice creams, chocolate brownie, cakes etc. They also had a separate menu for kids.
We found eating here very nice and the food was excellent. Although it is perhaps a little more expensive than some other similar chains.
