Cockteleria Picus

Situated on the beach next to the ferry docks and fishing boats in downtown Isla Mujeres, is the Cockteleria Picus. This is a small restaurant specializing in fresh (daily caught) seafood dishes. They have all types of ceviche - shrimp, fish, conch, octopus, etc. They also have the same variety of cocktails (i.e. shrimp cocktail was large and great). The tables and chairs are in the sand. In the late afternoon and evenings there are musicians singing Mexican tunes. We didn't see any Americans eating here, but the Mexicans seem to love this place, as we did too. It is relaxing to sit here and watch the boats come in and go out, see the fishermen bring their catches in to the restaurant, watch the tourists and the sunset.
