More than a Mouth Full

This is the place to go for breakfast in Palm Springs. You will see everybody from the bar last night here today. Everyone will look a little sleepier, but the coffee at Mouth Full will wake them up.

The guys who own this place are sweeties. One of them always wears a kilt, which is pretty cute (he is cute too).

The food here is great. I like the pancakes best. The service is friendly and fun. Everyone has a good time here.

Look for the big rainbow flag and a statue of Marilyn Monroe out front. This place is a winner for great breakfast and should not be missed!

More than a Mouthful

We found this place when our favorite waitress at El Mirasol told our table she also works breakfast at More Than a Mouthful. We had to at least give it a try.

The cute cafe is located in a great spot in downtown Palm Springs. It's just a half a block off the main drag of Palm Canyon. It's got a great outdoor seating patio and a few tables inside - it only seats 60 in all. You can't miss it the logo, it's a pair of huge red lips that hang over the door.

Our friend was there and welcomed our group with big kisses on the cheek. We sat down at the last empty table in the place. A full restaurant is always a good sign!

The restaurant was full of little cute touches. The coffee mugs have big lips on them. The milk for your coffee comes in little dollie milk bottles and over all the atmosphere is fun and festive.

I had the Green Eggs and Ham, which was scrambled eggs and pesto with a nice slice of ham. The price was $7.95 and included a potato pancake, homemade applesauce and toast. The juices are all fresh (and delicious) and the coffee is a rich Kona blend. All in all the meal was outstanding and the prices were in line. You won't go hungry here as the portions are large!

We have eaten breakfast here a lot and always feel welcomed. The owners are two great guys from LA who both attended the Culinary Institute of America. They own a very successful catering business in LA that goes by the same name. They have moved to the desert and we are happy they did! They are at the cafe most mornings and will make sure you are taken care of.

They also serve lunch. I have never been to lunch here so it's only breakfast that I can tell you about. The hours are 7:30am until 2:30pm. This is a not only a fun place but a place that serves great food. The prices are a tad higher than some other breakfast joints, but once you see the quality and portions you won't complain!
