Too Pricey for the Quality

Supposedly as we had been told this was the best steak in the area and with the price you would think it was the best. However, we ordered 2 different types of steaks and were very disappointed by both. There was absolutely no flavor and we asked for a steak sauce to at least make them have some taste and all they had was a homemade sauce with Worcestershire sauce and salt. To top it off we ordered the meat medium rare and they came out more than just a little rare. Looked like they were flipped once on each side for about 30 seconds and sent out. (To the point that even the blood hadn't even started to run when you cut into it, still cold in the center) We were waiting for a long time to be served our meals and other people that came in after us were served their meals first. Once the steaks came out the second time they were cooked just right however no flavor. We asked to talk to a manager and had to wait over 20 minutes for him to come over. When asked what he could do for us I said he was the manager and he need to make that decision. He did take both steaks off which we were very surprised at and that's the only reason I even would give it a star.

We went for the steak - and it was good. My husband and I shared an appetizer and a single steak - and had left overs to bring back to the condo. So portion control is rather interesting.

On the subject of reservations - we were there January 28 - and it's not hugely busy - and even so lots of people got turned away. It's a pretty small place actually. So do go the reservation route.

This was not our favorite place by the way - for the same price range - we much preferred Nani's, Snake River Grill, the Blue Lion - even Bubbas did what it does better than these guys. But to be in the US and not have steak... well, that wasn't going to happen.

The bar upstairs by the way is probably one of the best in town for country music - and it has a live band most nights. So eat steak - then dance it off.

This restaurant is located in the town square. The parking can be tough at times; you usually have to wait for someone to leave, unless you are staying within walking distance to the square. The square is decorated on all four corners with elk sheds and Christmas lights. It looks really neat and has several shops and things all right there in the block.

This is a very nice restaurant in a basement area. The floor you enter on is a large bar with pool tables and televisions. The bar stools are actually old horse saddles. It is a really neat-looking place. Then you take a set of stairs down to the actual restaurant. There was no noise heard from the bar above, and it was really a fancy, romantic place.

The food and service were both very good. I would recommend it and return again. The staff was very friendly and fast. The tables were very nice, with nice dinnerware and cloth napkins. The staff would quickly remove the plates after you finished an item, so there was never a clutter on your table. They were also very good to refill your drinks quickly.

This would be a great place for a romantic dinner. I wanted to visit this restaurant during my honeymoon, but they were closed during this part of December, as it was between their busy seasons.

This is a neat bar to check out. I have heard that their restaurant downstairs is exceptionally good, but pricey as well, and since I would be dining alone, I decided to bypass it.

The bar stools are replaced by old saddles, which are kind of neat at first, but they get old real fast when all you want to do is enjoy a beer and relax at the bar. Besides that, it’s real neat-looking inside. Made to look like an Old West bar, it definitely succeeds.

There are tables near a stage, two bar areas, and four or six pool tables. They serve sandwiches, and you can get your shoes shined, too! My beer was reasonably priced, and the bartenders are SUPER helpful. They willingly give you tips on the area and point you in directions that are off the beaten path. This is a must place to hangout for a beer or two.

This restaurant is under the famous Million Dollar Cowboy bar and the bar stools are saddles. The service is good and the food is excellent, making this a wonderful place for drinks and dinner. You can get in without reservations, but you should get there by 5pm for the fastest seating.
