Gallaghers is simply outstanding. I couldn't believe I came across this phenomenal find in such a small town! The lay out is simple and relaxed, and if it's a warm day you can eat outside in the hotel's secluded, breathtaking private garden. Seafood is a specialty but it has a large variety to cater to all tastes. I had a HUGE steak with a beautiful pavalova for dessert. The chef (whose name escapes me) is renowned throughout West Cork and deservedly so. Gallaghers has won so many awards for its cuisine, and you can see these awards all around the entrance to the restaurant. It is well worth a visit and it won't break the bank!
