Aunt Catfish

We loved Aunt Catfish's! This was about a 10-minute drive (with traffic) from Fantasy Island II.
We went for the "Blue Jeans Sunday Brunch" and it was incredible! There was a made-to-order omelette station, pancakes, french toast, as well as lunch/dinner items like fried catfish, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, veggies, carved turkey, ham, and tons more. Also, a huge salad bar with all kinds of items. Not to mention an array of dessert items, including a chocolate fountain! YUM!

We brought our three girls here (ages 11 and 5) and had a wonderful meal! We had a few drinks and enjoyed the live music outside while we waited for our table. The kids enjoyed the little slide, so they didn't mind the wait. Once inside, we dined on shark, gator tail, and a variety of other seafood. They have a great kids’ menu (it includes other things beside the traditional nuggets and burgers). I recommend you make reservations in advance, though – otherwise, the wait can be up to 1½ hours. This place came to us highly recommended… and I would make the same recommendation to others!!

Aunt Catfish's on the River

Excellent seafood for the money. My wife Kathy and I got lucky, as we got there before the big rush hit. The atmosphere was great. The hostess apologized to us, as there were no more window seat available, but the views were perfect just the same. We couldn't eat everything that was on our dish. Aunt Catfish's is a MUST for anybody visiting Daytona Beach.

This is the greatest fresh seafood. They specialize in catfish, but all the fish is freshly caught, since they are on the river. There is a view of the river, or outside dining id available. And their hush puppies are wonderful. Neat T-shirts also.
