Well, it's part dining, part shopping. If you're in Wisconsin, you might as well get the best cheese and ice cream in the world. Legendary stuff--milk taken from campus cows and made in the back of the store, you can't go wrong. Also very cheap.
I also worked here for 5 years while I went to college, so I can personally say how much I love the food. Besides the cheese and ice cream, they also serve lunch--sandwiches, soup and salads.
There are self guided tours where you can watch a 7 minute video on the making of the cheese and ice cream and a deck where you can look into the plant and see people working.
Don't miss it, although it's at the end of campus, it is most definitely worth it.
Open M-F 9:30-5:30 & Sat. 10-1:30
