Denny’s

The parking lot was not too busy, and it was on the service road for I-45. So it looked like a good chance at a quick breakfast on our way to Six Flags.

When we walked in there were a couple of other people waiting, but many tables were free, so we thought it was worth a shot. They offer both smoking and non-smoking sides of the restaurant.

We were seated in a booth, and the table was being wiped as we were seated. We looked over the menu and made our decision, but there was no one to tell it to. It took over 15 minutes to attract the attention of the hostess, and then only by walking back to the front of the restaurant. When I spoke to her she was able to track down a waitress and we were able to place our order.

The food was standard Denny’s fare, and good once it arrived at the table, but it took a long time (over an hour) for it to do so. The majority of the time we were there we felt ignored. This is understandable when the place is very busy, but such was not the case that morning. Most of the time our drinks were empty, and flagging down a waitress was difficult.

While the food was fairly good, and the location is very convenient to Six Flags, the frustration in attempting to obtain any kind of service and the long wait for the food would cause me to avoid this establishment in the future.
