Cruise ship dining

Radience of the Seas provided excellent dining in the main dining room. Dinner has assigned seating, chosen at time of cruise booking. Food was good to excellent depending on your taste. They offered different theme nights, such as Italian, French, seafood, etc. There is a fixed menu also with items like steak or fish. Lite and healthy items are labeled on the menu. It often turns out to be a six-course meal with appetizer, soup, salad, cheese, entree, and dessert.

Service is excellent, as the wait staff lives off of the tips. They are very attentive and polite. They always bring an alternative dish if you are not happy with your order. My wife orders multiple desserts because she can't decide which one she wants. I can't blame her. They all look so good.

Lobster night is popular, and the waiters/waitresses will bring as many as you can eat.

The dress code changes from night to night, and it ranges from casual to formal. Pictures are taken on formal and semi-formal nights, and they are for sale in the photo gallery.

Breakfast and lunch do not have assigned seats. You are seated with others at large tables. To avoid the wait, I recommend the buffet style restaurant near the top of the ship. Selection is usually very good. Omelets are made to order at breakfast, and plenty of hot items are available.

There are two alternative dining resturants that are at additional cost that we did not try. The food is supposed to be excellent.
