Description: The New York Times called this restaurant "The World's Most Decadent Breakfast", and I'd have to agree. First off, the menu is huge. They offer Dutch pancakes stuffed/topped with any sweet or savory ingredient you can imagine. They also serve more traditional breakfast fare, but if you pass up the opportunity to have one of their Dutch pancakes, you're really missing out!
The pancakes were huge, falling off the plate huge! I couldn't come close to finishing mine, and my fiance just barely got through three quarters of his (and believe me, he has a very hearty appetite!)
What was most surprising and pleasing to me was the wide variety of options for vegetarians. They had veggie substitutes for every breakfast meat that they offered. I was able to get a huge Dutch pancake stuffed with tons of cheese and veggie bacon.
The food was delicious--seriously, it was so good that it had me considering moving to Vermont just so I could eat there whenever I felt the urge! The coffee was delicious and from a local company, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.
The service was friendly and fast. I'm sure that the servers are always amused by the faces of the patrons who gasp (like we did) when they see the size of the portions!
If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Stowe, I highly recommend stopping by this very family-friendly place for breakfast! I still wake up some mornings thinking about the breakfast I ate there!
