Cafe Masala is the favorite restaurant of my eleven-year-old, vegetarian, picky-eater son. Having subsisted for four weeks on nothing but plain pasta, my son was in tofu heaven when we finally discovered Cafe Masala. We ate there nearly every day for two weeks, and my son always ordered teriyaki tofu (Q35). Served with rice, vegetables, miso soup, and salad, the teriyaki tofu plate made for a nutricious and balanced vegetarian meal.
The Japanese-owned Cafe Masala, in admirable pan-asian fashion, also serves sushi and tempura as well as several Chinese and Thai dishes. The vegetable tempura, fresh and light, is highly recommended.
