Lunch for 4 - $70 US

We stopped by The Office after reading many reviews online. The food was average, but expensive for what you got. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and lively. Our table was up above, not in the sand and I think this is a better spot to sit – you don’t have your chair sinking into the sand, and don’t have the sand kicking up into your face and food. It’s a great place to people watch as you have all ages here.

My husband had ordered the Sea Bass and I stuck to a taco platter. We spent close to $70 US for this meal – and that was for lunch. The location of being right on the beach and a definite tourist trap make it possible for them to charge these prices for their food. Not sure I would go again as you can find many other smaller spots with better food and less $$.

The Office

The Office is well-known in Cabo and an experience of eating with your feet in the sand. It is an expensive place, considering the average prices of food in Cabo. The atmosphere is just as you would see walking on the beach because this restaurant is right on the beach. Drinks are very good, although the menu prices for drinks are for the house alcohol, and the waitstaff manages to talk you into upgrading for a few pesos more. They also place bottled water on the table immediately, without asking, and charge your bill. Seafood dishes are the specialty, and we especially enjoyed the shrimp scampi. Buckets of beers are fun to order, and you could sit here all afternoon watching this very active section of the beach. Vendors do become a bit haggling here, and we were frustrated because a front view means having to say "no" to all the vendors constantly selling, despite the retaurant's posting of a sign that says not to disturb dining guests. The service was a bit slow, but sitting on the beach is very relaxing. Tables are scrunched very close together, so other guests dining are almost a part of your conversations.

Breakfast was also highly recommended--we did return for very good Bloody Marys one morning while strolling along the beach. They are spicy and perfect!

To get to The Office, you can easily walk from town; just head down the beach or hop in a cab or water taxi- everyone knows The Office, so any local transportation can get you there without needing the address. I'll go back every time I visit Cabo, next time for more than a liquid breakfast. I was told the breakfast burritos are awesome. Enjoy!

Sink your toes in the sand while drinking a margarita with salsa music playing. Great food and plenty of it. Beautiful setting right on the beach looking at the tip of the baja. A+++.
