I found a coupon for 10% off our meal in the "SEE-FLORIDA KEYS" guide that is available free all over the islands. The ad stated that they were voted the " best fish restaurant in the Keys" and I am here to tell you that this isn't all hot steam! The regular menu begins with some hefty appetizers like Gator Tail, crabmeat balls and Escargot Cappricio. Move on to the Raw Bar items for oysters, clams, and shrimp. I suggest the Bahamian Conch Chowder to follow the sliders. Now the main course requires some help from the excellent staff (such as Brad Atwell who does a very fine job!) since the daily special board is very extensive as well as interesting. We settled on the excellent nutty crusted dolphin ($19.95) and the equally fine Grassy Key lime Yellowtail ($19.95). Dinners come with a Caesar salad and choice of potato (the twice baked are-to-die-for!) or 2 veggie choices. Bentley's does have steaks, ribs, and chicken, and features a children's menu too. If you make it to dessert, let me know how the Key Lime pie is or the Banana Foster. I rolled to my car as it was!
One thing I really appreciate when I eat out.... hot steaming food that is fresh and cooked with skill! Great Job Bentley's!!!!
