We went to Pompono Beach for our honeymoon and stumbled upon Flannigans. Boy were we glad we did! We shared a bunch of appetizers, and they were all great, but the rib rolls were out of this world! We were in town for 6 days, and wanted to try different places, but we just loved this place so much, we wound up eating there 3 different days! Everything we ordered was just great. I am actually online to see if they have other locations, hopefully up north near Ohio where we live, but, apparently they don't! It is a must try in Florida!

I had read all good reviews on this place, so we decided to try it. I appreciated the atmosphere with all the photos of fishermen and their great catches. Music included stuff from the sixties, such as Jimi Hendrix and the Doors, much to my teenager's woe. Everything seemed to be going as expected until they brought out the food. What a disappointment! It just was not very tasty. We really thought this was suppose to be a local haunt, but I cannot imagine anyone would come here for the food.

The sign said seafood bar and grill. However, there were only maybe three seafood items on the menu. The place is more known locally for its ribs and burgers, which are really good and worth the trip for.

They have the best and most creative kids menu I have ever seen. At least 10 different selections and good sized portions to match the child (smaller for the wee ones and large for the older set).

The walls are covered with the owner's pictures of family and friends deep sea fishing adventures and life size hammerhead sharks and other fish. My seven-year-old was totally enthralled by it all. The place has more of a local Friday's/Applebee's restaurant feel but the food is much better.

If you are in Pompano with kids and want something for them and also want something good for you and your spouse, this is a good choice.

PS There is a liquor store in front of this place. The restaurant is attached and directly behind it. Located across the street and down from the Publix on Atlantic Blvd.

If you are looking for a kid friendly - great meal, this is your place. I highly recommend the ribs. They are the best I have ever had. We went to dinner around 4:30, the place was just starting to get busy. We could not have had better service. They give the kids a packet of fun (mask, coloring book, tattoo) so that they are entertained while you can enjoy your meal. The place is loaded with pictures of fish, which the kids really loved. This was a great place, we'll be back.

This is the place for ribs. They were great - even our picky 15-year-old loved them. The atmosphere was casual and the little ones loved the masks they gave them, and they really enjoyed the ribs too. Price was great, as was the service.
