Hard Rock

Once again, this was a great dining experience at the Hard Rock. This one is located inside the magnificent Trump Taj Mahal on the boardwalk in Atlantic City. It's a lot of fun to stop in here to eat while exploring the boardwalk.

All right, a Hard Rock Cafe is a Hard Rock Cafe is a Hard Rock Cafe, right? Not when you're in the elderly people's gambling mecca. This is Atlantic City, people, where busloads of grannies come down to gamble away their pensions on a weekly basis, and between them and the high school surfers hitting on anything in a bikini, anywhere that's out of the sun, sand, and smell of Old Spice is a great place to be.

That said, HRC Atlantic City stands on its own in terms of ocean-inspired specials and tropical drinks to make you forget you're still lounging on a beach where used needles washed up not too long ago. The atmosphere is friendly and darkly lit, like the NYC location, and they have the HRC staples like the pig sandwich and herb-grilled chicken breast (my personal favorite). But check out their selection of seafood and the specialty house drinks. Trust me, it's like no other HRC you've seen.

My wife had never been to a Hard Rock before. The food was very good and a good value. The atmosphere is just what you'd expect from this chain.

They do not take reservations, so you will have to wait to be seated. The place is always crowded. It is loud because they play music and videos the entire time you are there. If you like rock and roll, this is the place to eat.

The food was good and the service fast.
