The food was good, and the service was great! The atmosphere was pleasant, yet a little noisey. The menu chioces were fair. There also was take out if you wanted this.

Karl Strauss

The food was great and you got lots for your money. Everyone was friendly; if you needed anything, all you had to do was ask. It has a big screen where you can watch sports games and everyone gets involved. It’s a great atmosphere and friendly people.

Karl Strauss is located on the premises of Grand Pacific Palisades Resort and is very convenient if you are staying there. The food is generally good and not overpriced if you are on a moderate budget. I had the salmon, which I enjoyed. For an appetizer we all shared the garlic french fries. They were very heavy on garlic, but great if you like that. If you don’t like garlic, stay very far away.

Incidentally, and I'm sure they are not all like this, but our waiter would ask us what we wanted while passing by our table. It seemed he never really stopped (and the place wasn't that busy). That being said, I would still recommend it.

The restaurant is located right in front of the resort(Grand Pacific Palisades), so it was very convenient for us to meet our friends there. My buddy and I shared the beer sample, which I highly recommend. Our server was very nice and the service was great. I asked our server about my steak being smaller than my buddy's steak, not actually expecting anything. He took me seriously, and told the manager for me. She came over and told us that my steak was a runt and asked what she could do. I told her I didn't expect anything and that I was just giving our server a hard time. When the bill came she had our appetizer ($10) taken off the bill, which was totally unexpected.

Overall, the food and beer was very good, and the staff was great. Definitely recommend!

This is the restaurant attached to the hotel. It has a wide selection of entrees and the food is well prepared and presented. The staff is excellent. The food seems like a very good value.
