We stopped in for a late lunch. We had a large round table for six overlooking the woods and a large birdfeeder. We enjoyed the apple fritters and apple butter. I had fried okra. The adult dinners came with soup, so the waitress let the kids have some soup too. The food was Southern-oriented, and chicken and dumplings was very thick. We picked up some extra jars of apple butter on the way out. The receipt had a coupon for a 10% discount on our next visit.

Every time I visit this area, I make it a point to have a breakfast at this wonderful restaurant. You enjoy your meal in a room that looks out to the entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains and the last time I was there, a bear cub was spotted which caused "quite the commotion"! The room has birds in glass atriums and it is just so cozy and warm. The breakfast is spectacular - it's served family style and NO ONE LEAVES HUNGRY. I would definitely recommend this as a must for anyone visiting this area.
