A rustic setting make you feel that you have gone back in time,
to a time that is rich in flavor and style. We had lunch at the restaurant .....And may I say it was lip smacking good from the start. The salads to main entrees and dessert (which can take with you). where well prepared and cornfritters (yum yum yum )

The staff and management made us feel like we where family
and not another stranger for food. The building and restrooms
where clean and prossifional, and prices where
set at pleasent price the porition of food make you feel that you order to much .. depending on time of day you visit, you might experince a little wait (but worth it) the shops next the restaurant
have most of what you want to find

I rate this visit 5 stars

The Old Mill is unique. It has a running mill, general store, and restaurant. The inside has the down home rustic look, and the window-side table give a nice view. The food is down home cooking style, and the service is excellent.

The restaurant is in an old working grist mill. The interior decor is very rustic. The meal began with homemade corn chowder, salad, corn fritters with maple butter, and homemade biscuits, I had sugar cured ham steak and he had the pot roast; mashed potatoes and green beans are served family style. Both meals were very good. Dessert was included -- pecan pie, apple cobbler, or chocolate cake -- which could also be taken home. We brought ours back to the resort.

We went to The Old Mill restaurant and waited 2 hours to get seated. But it was worth the wait!!!! The food was excellent and so was the service. We got salad, side items, and dessert with the main menu item ordered. The food was homemade and delicious. They also have a shopping area by the restaurant so you can shop while you wait. Definitely a place to visit when in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge.

We had lunch at the Old Mill because we wanted some honest-to-goodness Southern cuisine. The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is easy to find because of the large mill outside and in the front of the restaurant. Our booth had a scenic view of the Little Pigeon River. The menu was full of traditional southern food. Their cornbread was amazing and is worth the trip for that alone! Next to restaurant, we found a little community full of shops. We walked off the hearty meal wandering through some of the shops. We found everything from candy to toys to pottery and had a wonderful afternoon.
