Cafe Au Lait

Cafe Au Lait is situated on the main shopping street and is a great place to stop in for a quick cup of drink, a snack, or lunch away from the hustle and bustle of the main square. Unlike many other places in Bruges, Cafe Au Lait offers a good selection of sensibly priced snacks, salads, and pastries, and the interior is very bright, fresh, and airy. Topping off the experience, the service is excellent and friendly. I was chuffed to bits to find this place and only wished it had been in the first rather than the last few hours! I think the tea served in a pot, the choice of something other than the Lipton one-cup, an the accompanying three biscuits clinched it for me. Next time, I think I'll give one of their omelettes a try.
