The chefs cook your meal to your liking in front of you. Beni Hana has not only beautiful food, but is also very entertaining. There are tables of 10 people, with the chef standing in the middle. They do plenty of tricks. It really is a good night out. It has become my family tradition to have birthday dinners here. I highly recommend this restaurant.

BeniHana’s is a Japanese restaurant in the Marriott Hotel in Surfers Paradise; it is a wonderfully decorated restaurant in truly Japanese style. You sit on tables that seat up to eight people, with a hot cooking plate in front of you where the food is cooked and served. The menu is very vast with lots of choice – we had chicken and beef Tepanyaki, fried rice, and fried ice cream for dessert. All of the food was literally cooked right in front of us and tasted delicious. It was the first time I had tried Japanese, and I have to say I thought the food was out of this world! All of the food was cooked to perfection, with a few tricks thrown in for good measure. The waiters are extremely knowledgeable, and professional. The wine menu is expansive, with various choices of red or white wine, beers, lagers and also spirits.

Benihana Japanese Steakhouse

Went to Benihana our first night in Surfer's. Benihana was our favourite Japanese steakhouse in the US, and this is the only location in Australia. It was very similar to the one in Las Vegas that we love. The miso soup was a little different, and there was no swordfish on the menu.

The chef put on an excellent show, and the food was terrific. The shrimp and fried rice were just like in Vegas -- delectable. Two different wedding parties were at other tables there, which was also reminiscent of Vegas.
