Pronto

Pronto is one of the most popular chains of Italian dining in Tokyo. They all have reliable service with a constant high quality demand for perfection. All dishes are prepared in traditional Italian style as opposed to North American Italian style food. The waiters and waitresses speak English and you can choose to sit on the patio or in the restaurant. However, be warned that smoking is allowed throughout the whole restaurant. There are a variety of pasta dishes at lunch time. I would highly recommend the meat sauce spaghetti which is a light, refreshing meal when finished with an espresso; perfect to keep you going when there are so many shops nearby. At dinner time the full menu is available including appetizers, desserts, and pizza. For an appetizer try the Romano cheese bread which is good to share for about four people. Follow with the pizza margherita, which is a nice, simple pizza with a thin, crisp crust and just enough cheese to cover the pizza. Finish with the tiramasu and go home to sleep. You will be amply full with a fine dining memory. On the menu appetizer is "antipasta," dessert is "dolce," and beverage is "bevre." The staff are polite and there is a warm atmosphere. You will see more kids at lunch and office workers having a beer at dinner time. If drinking beer be sure to order Asahi, the number one choice for beer in Japan.
