Dee's may serve the best (and likely largest)breakfast in Salt Lake City. The service is fine and prices are very fair. The Texas Toast breakfast will fill you up for the entire day and with a drink set you back less than $10.
The rest of the breakfast menu is comparable to what you would find at a Denny's or similar restaurant, however the portions are very generous and more reminiscent of a small town cafe.
For a hearty breakfast, Dee's is a great way to start the day.

Here's a family-style restaurant sort of in the same mode of a Denny's. There are 11 of them in the Salt Lake City area. The food is good, cheap and the service is fast and courteous. I had a patty melt and it was delicious. Not a fancy place, but a down 'n dirty diner type place for a quick meal.
