Au Relais Gascon

I had a friend who lived above this restaurant and whenever I was on his balcony I would ask him what that heavenly smell was and why he hasn't eaten at his downstairs neighbor resto.

It was always crowded - every seat outside and on the first floor was full and people would be waiting around in front to be seated. They do have a second floor, but it's a little claustrophobic.

I finally dragged some other friend of mine there and loved it. They have a delicious array of salads on the menu (that's their "thing"): all original and all the size of two of my heads. I never considered a salad a meal but this here is. I could never finish my portions. They would top their salads with these fresh-crisped potato slivers. It's a good way to fool yourself into believing you're eating healthy.
