I ordered take-out since I was alone and about to pack to leave Las Vegas after dinner. Most Chinese restaurants have suffered due to the SARS epidemic. Ignorant people assume that all Asian people harbor SARS, so they avoid Chinese restaurants and other Asian establishments. Sam Woo's was not as busy as they usually are, but it looks like they still have a good number of customers compared to other places. They're lucky they are so well-known for their Chinese food. You know it's a good Chinese restaurant when the majority of the clientele are Chinese. I ordered kung pao chicken and steamed rice to eat at my condo, which cost $13.05. More expensive than your usual Chinese take-out, but it was definitely worth it when I went home to eat. I ate the whole thing in one sitting, and I usually can't eat that much!

We had dinner at Sam Woo's restaurant. They just seem to be everywhere! It was great in Las Vegas. They are located at Chinatown Plaza on Spring Mountain Road. The food was excellent as usual. I have only been to the ones in Chinatown (L.A.) and in Monterey Park. I was surprised to see how many there were. All the branch addresses were on the front page of the menu. I guess I never really paid attention. The prices were good, and service was OK. We beat the dinner crowd because we were seated right away, but then as we were eating, more people kept coming in. It was really crowded, and there was quite a wait for tables by the time we left.
