This place was very nice. When you first walk in there is a jelly fish tank with three different colors. The food was okay. Do not try the soba noodles. It was too bland, but I do recommend the shrimp tempura roll, the shrimp appetizer (I forgot the name), and especially the green tea creme brulee. It was the best creme brulee I have ever had.

I enjoyed dinner with my boyfriend and parents at Shintaro, the Japanese steakhouse at Bellagio before seeing the 10pm show. We ate here because we had tickets for the 10:30 performance of ‘O’ and we wanted to eat somewhere at the Bellagio in order to make the show. We all agreed that Japanese Steakhouse sounded fun. We had teppan yaki which is where they cook in front of you on the grill. I thought the chef would perform several tricks but he only did a few things cracking eggs. They were about 15 minutes late in seating us and then they had to rush us through dinner to make the show. This was one of the most expensive meals I think we have ever eaten! It ended up being $180 a couple. We had two appetizers and we had five drinks total among us. The apps were $18 and $20 each. Dinners were quoted as being $35 – $85 when I made the reservations and I assumed there would be a few choices at the $35 level instead of just one (chicken). Each meal was more like $55 - $200 each with the average at $75/$85. I myself had an $85 lobster, shrimp and beef combo.

Everyone’s food was amazing and wonderful. My mom had the whitefish which was incredible and the boys had chicken and shrimp which they also loved. I couldn’t eat all of mine so my boyfriend at half of mine as well. The problem with paying that much for food, even though it was so good, is that we are very easily pleased and can be very happy with an expensive $8 cheeseburger! We were all happy but thought it would be more reasonable for $120 a couple (which isn’t cheap either). Also, the chef was making fun of us because we were a bit worried of being late for our performance.
