Harrahs Buffet

At Harrah's, we found that we could have our meal at a good price and in a clean, pleasant, and relaxed atmosphere. The variety was excellent, and needing sugar-free options was never a problem. If only English restaurants could offer the same sort of alternatives on their sweet menus. It is so nice not to always have fresh fruit salad as the only possibility. We called at various times and never felt we were rushed in order to make space. The staff waiting at tables was pleasant and helpful.

This is one of the best deals going. They have just about everything-just get a plate and wander round. Then, if you want, wander round again-and again! But be warned, take a look at the deserts before you get too full because they are really something.

We were given two, free VIP buffet tickets for taking the tour at the Fairfield Grand Desert, so we decided to try it. We are not crazy about buffets, however, this one was fabulous.

We started our excursion around this massive buffet by eating the shrimp cocktail and all the Alaskin King Crab legs we could manage. Then, on to the other stations, the prime rib was cooked to perfection, and the server cut the meat exactly to your specifications; I wanted just a small taste and he did just that. Then came the roasted potatoes; vegetables, cooked to perfection; fresh fruit; chicken; fish; salad; and deserts. Where does it end and how does one even begin to explain how to get through such massive amounts of food? It all looked so delicious, but we found the best way to tackle it was to walk around the buffet first, decide what you really wanted to eat, and then begin!!

We ate at Harrah’s Fresh Market Square Buffet around 7:30 PM. The food was delicious—especially the Alaskan Snow Crab legs which we both filled up on. After dinner we picked up our tickets for the 11 PM Skintight and started our walk back to the Royal. By the Venetian, I was already feeling sick from what I ate. To avoid graphic details, I’ll just say that I didn’t leave our hotel room from 8:30-11 PM. Aaron wasn’t 100% either, so we concluded that it was the snow crabs. I called and filed a report with Harrah’s security. After the show, we made our way back to the buffet where I professionally convinced the manager to refund our bill from last night since I had been so sick. After about 5 minutes, he reluctantly agreed.
