This restaurant looked a bit cheesy/touristy, but it had a cool, tropical atmosphere and, as it turned out, great food! We also had the best waiter I personally have ever met -- he told us exactly what he recommended from the menu that would suit our particular tastes, and he was right. We both really enjoyed the local fishes that we ordered. And he was so friendly -- it's the first and only time I have ever shaken my waiter's hand on the way out.

We found Keoki's in 2003 and fell in love with it. It's our favorite restaurant on Kauai. The atmosphere is tropical and fun with open-air sides, ponds, and waterfalls. The service is friendly and prompt.

The fresh fish (opakapaka, ono, and red snapper, to name a few) are prepared with one of their special seasoning recipes and they're all delicious. The food presentation is also lovely. The Hula Pie for dessert is a must and enough for at least two people -- it's to die for. Lunch is also served with a good variety of moderately priced sandwiches, burgers, and salads.

We went to the bar section, which the front desk told us a local favorite. It was obviously the case when we got there. We still a had great menu (that was also cheaper) and got to enjoy the band to boot. The food was so good that we went back again a few days later for lunch.

This is also where we enjoyed the hula pie.

The atmosphere was as delicate as the food and the service. The service was the best I have ever encountered. The food, the best of the best. Highly recommended.

We love Keoki's! During our last trip this is where we ate the most. The food, although not necessarily the best on the island, is really pretty darned good. They always have a good selection of fresh fish on the menu that is done in a variety of different ways. Consult your server for what's best on any given night. We prefer to eat in the bar/lounge area. It's simply cozier and more friendly. The dining room seems more formal, even though it's not.

We didn't once make reservations, but on one night the place got inundated by a convention from the Hyatt. We ended up waiting a bit for a table but it wasn't long (20 minutes, maybe?).

On some nights, weekends I think (but I was on vacation, it was all one long weekend), they have live music, usually some sort of Hawaiian music. Very pleasant indeed. Being that it's an open-air restaurant, the sound wasn't deafening and carried nicely.

We love Keoki's and will continue to go back.
