We went on another recommendation through RCI Community and we just had to write about it also. This place is well known to the locals in the area and is highly recommended. We had a great lunch there! Even the kids loved it! Lunch was $3.95 - $6.95 and you can order extra sides for $1.50 each. For sides they had collard greens, beans, potato salad, hush puppies, grean beans, etc.

Three of our four ordered a barbecue pork sandwich and we couldn't believe how great it was. The sandwich came with no sauce on it but the meat was so tender and tasty it didn't need sauce. They had sauces you could add yourself on the table. My husband loves barbeque and has had it many times at several different restaurants but he agrees with the rest of us that this was the best barbeque we have ever had.

Anywhere else we go we will always be comparing it to Mr. Pit's. This was a place we will definitely go back to again and again...and again.

Mr. Pit has great Carolina BBQ. The owners won so many local, regional, and international BBQ awards that they decided to open a restaurant . . . and I'm glad they did. A plate of BBQ with a side is something like $8. The food is outstanding, the service is friendly and down home-style, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Mr. Pit's was by far the best eating I had in Myrtle Beach.
