There were four of us, and we had reservations. We were seated right on time.
Now the food, although very good and in most cases properly portioned, didn't necessarily extend to the appetizers. We ordered the appetizer sampler plate and when it arrived, all we could do was laugh out loud. . .and long. It was soooooo L.A. It consisted of a total of three whole bites. One each of three different appetizers. I almost thought we were in a Saturday Night Live skit. What there was of it was tasty, but I think they outdid themselves on it.
We had a couple of steaks, some fish, and a seafood paella. The steak and fish were very attractively plated and of nice (not too big or small) portions. Same with the fish. The paella was enough food to choke a horse. I'm a good eater but I made it through about a third of it before surrendering.
Would I go there again? Maybe, although there are a lot of eateries in the area that I'd want to try out first. Don't read this as a diss of the joint. I'd simply rather experience more before returning to what's known.
