This is a jewel of a restaurant. Tucked away on a mostly empty stretch of Duffield on the eastern side of Downtown Brooklyn, it serves the basics of Chinese fast food. And it serves them incredibly cheaply, but more importantly, incredibly deliciously. The fried pork and cabbage dumplings were flavorful, juicy, and had the nicest texture. The little pork buns are fried lightly on the bottom, a very subtle but special touch. The peanut noodles are so simple, almost.... boring, but at the same time, so satisfying. And dinner for three costs less than $15.
The sesame pancake with vegetables was cold--not just room temperature, but chilled. So I will stick to getting those guilty pleasures at Prosperity Dumplings in Chinatown.
Make a trip anytime you are hungry and in the Dumbo, Fort Green, Brooklyn Heights, Downtown Brooklyn area. So worth it!
