Overcharging for Soda Refills

My wife and i live on the cape and support , if you know what i mean, many restaurants, even though re-doing a $60,000 kitchen we like the food and especially the view at skippys. the only thing i disliked was they charge you for soda refills. WOW! what a disgrace.. the soda costs the customer around $2.00 each.. the wholesale cost cannot be more than .50 per glass. i do not know of any other restaurant on rt 28, especially the riverway, that charges for the additional ref fills for soda..when you have non drinkers or kids, they will want more than one glass of soda. we will continue to go there, but , maybe not as often as we do go to the other places. doyles, olympia, molly's. clancy's, sundancers, just to mention a few who do not charge for refills. so sandy, maybe you can change your policy for next season.. take care, brian and lu o

Throw away the coupon. You can get a better meal for the same money or less at any number of local restaurants.
An appetizer and drinks were ordered and we reviewed the menu and made our choices. The waitress brought the drinks and we ordered the entree's. Shortly after placing the order our clam chowder was delivered followed shortly by the appetizer. The crab cake appetizer was good but the clam chowder was disappointing. It was gritty and the bottom half of the cup appeared and tasted like the bottom of the pot.
The entree's were both major disappointments. We both chose not to have desert and vowed to never go back.
We went to the Riverway Lobster House, had a wonderful meal the next night and paid less for more and better. And we did not have a coupon.

This waterfront restaurant is right next to the Riverview Resort. They offer a 10% discount if you are staying at the resort. The food is absolutely stellar. The lobster roll was one of the best I have ever had. It was tough to choose to eat somewhere else since each item tried was great and the selection of seafood was exceptional!!! There is a very nautical theme to the restaurant, with a boat as the centerpiece for the bar. There is also outdoor waterside dining. Overall, this is an excellent place to eat and relax!!!

We had lunch here when we first arrived. We got the fish-and-chips. It was a very good nice portion. The bar is a sailboat, and they have outside dining overlooking the river.

We had actually tried to go to Captain Parker's for lunch, but there was a 20 minute wait and we were in a bit of a time crunch, we stopped by Skippy's Pier 1. I can't promise the accommodation we enjoyed because we had the entire place to ourselves, but we sat right above the pier and could see Parker's River. It was beautiful and the food was excellent.
