Description: Eggbert’s, what can we say? It was worth trying just because of the name. And I’m sure that’s what most visitors think. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this chain restaurant ranks right up there as a slightly better Denny’s, Bakers Square, CoCo’s, Applebee’s, or other similar chain American restaurants.
As breakfasts go, I usually measure them by their ability to prepare decent eggs Benedict. Eggbert’s, however, was average – it didn’t wow the pants off me. Their list of breakfast items, though, looked like a Florida or other Southern state menu, with rice in lieu of grits. Their signature Fluffy Banana Hotcakes were okay.
For the best breakfast on the islands, try Moose’s located in Honolulu. THEY have a killer hollandaise for their eggs Benedict.
Eggbert’s does list a long menu of omelettes and totes 150 types in two-egg and three-egg sizes.
This was a very family-friendly restaurant, but they also had a patio area where the non-child-laden patrons could enjoy their meal, too. Located in a general outdoor mall-type setting, there’s really nothing else to see or do at this location. They are open daily from 7am to 9pm and have been around for 27 years. They have a complete dinner starting at $6.50, though we only tried them for breakfast. This is definitely your best bang for your buck when it comes to family dinning.
