The restaurant is accessed through a private elevator within the casino, guarded by large bodyguards, which gives you the feeling that something very special awaits you. When the elevator doors open, you are transported into luxury. The dark dining area is a series of banquets and beautifully appointed tables. The lighting is low, with soft shadows and candles everywhere.
We had a reservation but were a bit early, so we started at the bar with a cocktail. The bartenders were very friendly and cute. They made us each a different house specialty--all different colors. It was a fun way to start our night of decadent food and drink.
When we were seated, we arrived at a large booth with a GREAT view of the strip. It felt very "celebrity", if you can imagine. We ordered a bottle of champagne and toasted to our fabulousness.
We started with salads and bread, which were all very good. Two of us ordered fish for our entrees, while two ordered filet mignon. When the food came (30 minutes or so later), it was very good. Eevrything was cooked exactly as asked, and the presentation was close to art.
The menu boasts American-French fusion, running between $24 and $40 dollars a plate. There are vegetarian options, along with seafood, chicken, and meat options. Everything we tried was great, but of course, we couldn't try everything.
We were far too stuffed to venture into desserts, but it all looked so good! We left after one long stare at the view and went on our way, into the Vegas night.
