Pancho's By The Beach Restaurant - Mazatlan

We ate here twice this year and like the place, but the prices have risen since last year. I thought the service was not as attentive this year. The location is to-die-for, except for the constant flow of beach vendors! Overall, it's a nice place with a great location and view.

This restaurant is located at the back of a small shopping center facing the water. The sunsets are incredible and the food was delicious - and there was a lot of it. Be hungry. The staff did a great job in seeing to all our needs.

This is a wonderful place to have breakfast and watch the beach come alive or end the day with a candlelight dinner. After visiting Mazatlan for 15+ years, this remains my favorite restaurant. The ambience is wonderful, the food is the best in town, and the price is right. This is not only a place for tourists... locals frequent Panchos, especially in the mornings.

Well, everything you read about Panchos is true. The location is great, the food excellent, as well as the service. If you go, try the Mexican coffee. It is worth the price just to watch them make the drink at your table. It has as much tequila and kahlua as it does coffee. They heat the glass of tequila and when it gets hot enough, they sprinkle sugar onto the glass and it glazes over. Then after more heat, they add cinnamon causing it to throw off sparks! You can see the alcohol burning a light blue. Then, if I remember correctly, they add ice cream, Kahlua, and coffee last. Now that's coffee or is it dessert?

We were looking for our version of quintesenntial Mexican food, and we found it at Ponchos. If you are looking for a couple of tacos, some chips, salsa and guac with a couple of beers, this is THE place. Right on the beach, this restaurant offers a perfect setting. And the food is great, some of the best we had in Maz. My wife and I had the above mentioned and got a quesodilla for my daughter. We still got out of there for under $15 including a nice tip.

The shrimp tacos are the bomb and they are $2! They make a huge tasty burger too.
