I have been going to this place every year since I was five and never once had a bad time. It may not be the best place to go, but I've just grown up with it and have learned to love it as my favorite place. But the food is very, very good, and it's usually quiet, except for nights when the live band is there; then you usually see Mexican married men with their wives dancing on the dance floor.
It is located across the street from Oceano Palace and is next to Juanitas. You'll see a set of stone staircases... walk up, and you'll be greeted by a friendly host.
Everything on the menu is good, but I especially like the calamari as an appetizer; it comes with the best dipping sauce I have ever tasted. And whenever I have a mashed-potato craving, I will go here.
Ask for a free tamborine; I believe they still hand them out. Don't afraid to go dance and get a little crazy, or you can just sit and relax. Also, if you want to hear a song, go ahead ask the DJ, Raul, aka Pachon, to play your favorite song. More than likely, they will have it.
