This restaurant is a sports bar and microbrewery. The menu offers a wide variety, including pizza, sandwiches, salads, steaks, seafood, and barbecue. There also are usually at least four of their brews available. If you can't choose between the brews, you can order a sampler of up to five different ones.
The Calibogue Amber seems to be available most of the time. It is similar to Killian's® Red™. JW's Stout is similar to Guinness®. On our most recent visit, Raspberry Wheat was on tap. It has a mild fruity flavor that was very good straight to the glass, but didn't seem to travel well in a growler. The flavor didn't come across out of the jug as it did out of the tap. There are roughly a dozen different brews made through the year.
It is a friendly and comfortable place. It isn't nearly as loud as you might expect a sports bar to be, either. The lower level overlooks a pond full of ducks and geese. There are plenty of televisions, but not so many as to be distracting. There's also a small gift shop offering shirts, hats, and other goodies.
We usually get a Super Brewhouse Pizza, and have our growler (half gallon jug) refilled. The jugs sell for $6, and you can bring them back to have them filled for $8 any time.
