This place is definitely a hangout and was quite popular with the 20s to 30s crowd, although there were a few people older in the crowd.

The type of food is definitely American, but with more than a hint of the Caribbean thrown in for good measure.

Do make sure you ask for the daily specials, as they tend to be less expensive and quite good. Also try the conch chowder.

One thing I learned while down in Fort Lauderdale is if you don't like the weather (rain), wait 15 minutes - it's sure to change.

If you can grab one of the outdoor tables, the chairs are swings! Very cool.

There are apparently five quarterdecks around Fort Lauderdale, but this one was actually on the corner of Los Olas and Cordova, about two blocks (they're small blocks) from the beach.

From journal Sun, sea, sand and salsa!!
