As soon as you enter, you feel like you've entered Indonesia and the staff is very attentive but the narrow buildings remind you that you're in A'dam. We sat in the room in the second floor which was more intimate and dark with umbrellas suspended from the ceiling. All the staff is in traditional Indonesian attire. We were there for the famous Indonesian version of smorgasbord or tapas known as rijstaffel (or rice table). As you will see from other entries, they will come out with rice for each person and then set down about 10 different small servings of everything from shredded lamb to pickled veggies and spicy beef. Being the snobby eaters, I have to admit that I wasn't as impressed by the quality of the food. Perhaps they have been established for so long as "the" Indonesian restaurant, that they aren't trying as hard, or it is just too tourisy of a restaurant that they don't think it matters. It was a nice experience but quite costly.
