If you suddenly experience a craving for Chinese food during a visit to Amsterdam's Old Centre, one good option is the Kam Kee Chinese restaurant at Zeedijk 103. Kam Kee offers an extensive menu in both Dutch and English at reasonable prices.
As a cat owner, you can imagine my surprise and delight when I was visited by the restaurant's resident cat. A few scratches behind the ear later (the cat's ears, not mine), the cat was on its way to find another vantage point from which to survey the patrons. On the other hand, however, if you're susceptible to cat-related allergic reactions, perhaps another restaurant would be a better choice.
