Description: Reservations aren't necessary, but if you don't make them, you could be waiting for over an hour if it's a busy night. The restaurant's decor is bright and energetic, with a cool South of the Border flair. Outside seating is an option during the spring/summer months. Generally, the servers are attentive and courteous.
The menu has a variety of options. If you want a great deal, order the southwestern Caesar salad with salmon. I ordered this one time expecting a few chunks of salmon mostly obscured by lettuce, but I got a full-on filet of grilled salmon on top of a bed of Caesar-covered romaine. To top it all off, the salad was bright with yellow corn, and it had an undeniably unique but understated southwestern flavor. Yum. Best of all, it's only $8 without tax.
Austin also has all the regular Mexican dishes: fajitas, tacos, etc., with beef, chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, pinto beans... you get the picture. Nothing on the menu is outrageously expensive, but it's all good. Austin Grill is a place where you know you can get a pretty good meal. It's good for families, too. It’s not exactly the top of my list as far as dining goes, but it's good for a Thursday night in the summer when you're looking for a place to go.
