The Haunted Hamburger

I would definitely eat here again. What a wonderful Place. It is a great value for good food and it's reasonably priced.
The restaurant has an outside deck and a huge panoramic window overlooking the valley and the desert. It has a lot of memorabilia from Jerome. Jerome is an old west turn of the 19th century Copper mining town. The main draw to this place is that it is haunted by a women. As those of you who know me I am kin to spirits and I can feel their presence. She was not in the restaurant but I felt her moving around in the rooms above.

The Staff are very friendly. The service was excellent. The food was excellent. We stopped in for lunch. We all had burgers, except our little son who had a chili cheese dog, it was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. An Added plus was the beer. It was Ice Cold which was very refreshing after driving through Cottenwood and the hot Arizona desert.

We loved it. The staff made us feel right at home. Although it was pretty crowded, my wife and I took seats at the bar right away. Our drinks were brought quickly and that was really cool because we were pretty thirsty from walking up the hill. I had a soda and my wife had a glass of wine. We ordered tortilla chips with spicy salsa. She had a cheeseburger with a twice baked potato and I had the chili burger with a twice baked potato. They have a small "fixins" bar with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, peppers, and some other condiments. The portions were very large. I am a big eater and could not finish. The staff was extremely nice and the conversation went round the bar. We met really nice people there. An absolute pleasure. The bill was only slightly over $20. Hard to beat that in a tourist area. I should mention that Rachel Ray did a segment of her $40 a day from the Haunted Hamburger some time ago. She picked another winner. Trust me on this.

Haunted Hamburger

We got into town about 3:30pm and were starved since we hadn't eaten since breakfast. We were seated rather quickly because we didn't mind if we ate inside. We were seated by the window that looked over the valley, though, so we still had a nice view.

The Haunted Hamburger is on the top of the hill in Jerome, an old mining town built on the side of a mountain. The view is fantastic. We were actually on our jeep tour in Sedona when the guide pointed out buildings on a hillside in the distance and said that it was Jerome. It was neat knowing we were recently there looking out and must have seen Sedona from there.

The Haunted Hamburger is a rather small, pub-like restaurant. There is a wrap-around deck outside with some seating under cover. I had a blue-cheese burger that I thought was good. My son had ribs for an appetizer that fell right off the bone. I can't really remember what anyone else got, except for my daughter. She ate the cheese quesadillas and didn't like them.

The specialty here is the ribs. The hamburgers were good, but I wouldn't say it was the best I've ever had.

This place can be very busy with long (30 minute) wait at lunchtime. The burgers are very good, the staff is very friendly, and the view from the deck is breathtaking.

The best burger I ever had. If you get a chance, ask for table 14 on the patio. What an awesome view of Gerome, Sedona, and the entire Verde Valley!!! Try the Haunted Burger, it is the best, and also, if you get iced tea, get the tropical flavor.
