The food here is really good. Although some people disagree, I would probably be more apt to call it Tex-Mex than Mexican since it tastes like fusion food.. Don't get me wrong, the food is excellent. And the service was ok.. i think we just got someone on a bad night. But still not that bad.. Also, you must try the margaritas there.. they're a personal favorite of mine..

Chuy's

This is my favorite Mexican food place in Houston, though it's not a traditional Mexican place. It's very funky and retro-trendy, with interesting Elvis and antique cadillac iconography throughout. It is a popular after-work drinks place. The service is friendly, and the food is tasty. Try the blue corn enchiladas or the very filling Chuy-changa.
