The Buffet at Bellagio

The Buffet at Bellagio

It was very nice and clean no-smoking facility. As I walked around looking at the vast selection of food, just the smells insisted on choosing. Walking by the dessert bar, the chocolate called out to me. Sitting at the table, I enjoyed every bite of food. The flavors danced in my mouth. I especially loved the chocolate dessert, one of the best chocolate desserts I have ever had. All weekend I looked for chocolate and finally found it. The background music softly played while I sipped on a cool glass of iced tea.

We ate at the Bellagio Buffet for breakfast. We got there at 8am, right when it opened, so we didn't have to wait in line. Our server, Kevin, was excellent. Our drinks never went empty. The choices on the buffet were excellent. This was not your typical breakfast buffet. There was something for everything. One downfall, though, was NO CHOCOLATE MILK. Adults like chocolate milk, too. Jennifer loved the fresh fruit. She got her money's worth in raspberries alone.

Bellagio Dinner Buffet

This buffet is unlike anything I have ever seen before. This is my second Las Vegas buffet, and there is no comparison when compared to the other one I ate at which was the MGM Grand dinner buffet. I wish I could remember the names of all the stuff I ate. It was not just your typical buffet-type food. There were gourmet foods on here, presented on their own little plates. Plus, there was a carving station, pizza station, and a dessert section that made you truly feel as though you were committing a sin. You could not possibly try everything here, and if you ever thought of bringing a really big purse (that had nothing in it) to a buffet, this one would definitely make you think about it harder. Everyone who goes to Vegas should try this buffet at least one time. I cannot imagine one better. And the service was top-notch too. Our glasses never got empty, and they had a great attitude as well.

We went for the Sunday champagne brunch. Looking at other entries, it appears that the prices fluctuate, so call ahead for the latest price. We were charged $28 for the buffet and all-you-can-drink champagne. The "champagne" was Freixenet Brut from Spain, so take that into consideration - some people love it, others don't. If you don't like the bottle but like the idea, you could always mix it with the all-you-can-drink orange juice and make it into a mimosa! We went at 11:45am and ended up having to wait 1.5 hours to get through the line. It was worth both the price and the wait, though.

Stand-out items included the cold shrimp (large) and prime rib (spice encrusted). Items included two kinds of sushi rolls, mashed sweet potatoes, pesto mashed potatoes, salmon, swordfish, stuffed chicken, roasted turkey, cranberry dressing, glazed carrots, made-to-order omelets, all traditional breakfast foods, Thai-style mussels, gourmet pizza, soups, four types of "gourmet" salad, fresh raspberries, gourmet cheeses and olives, and many types of desserts. The shrimp and prime rib were definitely the two popular items from looking at others’ plates. Most people appeared to have chosen the champagne option.

Like most Vegas casinos, Keno can be played here. Ladies, you may want to use the restrooms just outside of the buffet, as there are only two stalls inside the restaurant and with that comes a long line and infrequent cleaning.

My husband and I ate at this buffet as our one buffet for our trip. I could not imagine one being better. All other buffets will now fail by comparison. They had leg of lamb, freshly carved prime rib, very large peel-and-eat shrimp (that were already peeled), and crab legs that were already cracked open for you. There was a huge pizza station and gourmet creations for both the dinner foods and the desserts. It was an absolutely huge buffet and there was no way to possibly sample everything.
