Bloody Awful

I was the one who wanted to go to Mama Steves because of the name. Ok...I am a big enough man to admit my mistake. Established in 1968. Based by the speed of the service, I guess they are still cooking on the original stove and using the original wait staff. The hostess sat us in one area specifically stating "I will put you over here so you can get waited on faster". We sat down, several minutes passed when the waitress took our coffee orders but ignored our 2 children's needs. After we were given coffee, we had to ask that they take our kids drink orders as they were not even served water. They left the kids without drinks for 15 minutes and finally took our order. For the next 30 minutes, we didn't even catch a glimpse of our waitress except to see others get refills on drinks that got to the restaurant after we were seated. Coffee now cold, no coffee refills, no drink refills for the kids. Finally, we decided enough time had been wasted. We decided to leave and we did complain to the manager who did NOT CARE ONE BIT and made sure we paid over 7 dollars for 2 coffees, a sprite and a small apple juice. We gave them a 10 and at first they were not even going to give us our change. We then went a few doors down to National Pancake House where we ordered, enjoyed the BEST WAFFLE and other breakfast items, and were back on vacation in under 30 minutes. Mama Steves was Absolutely the worst restaurant we saw in 6 days in Williamsburg.

Breakfast & Lunch everyday in a casual atmosphere. Many locals eat here. It’s not fancy – just a great value. Great place for breakfast. No Credit Cards accepted.
