The food was delicious and the location of the restaurant in the wooded area just above Canoe Cove Marina was very special. It is very picturesque with very unusual trees. The interior is very simple and rustic looking. We enjoyed relaxing. The service was very good. I ordered grilled salmon, but what I enjoyed the most was ginger almond carrot soup.

Stonehouse Pub

This restaurant is the most appealing looking eatery I have ever seen! It is a rustic jewel set in a forest fairy land. It is just a few meters north of the marina at Canoe Cove and has a paved parking lot surrounded by flowers and majestic fir trees. When I first saw it, I was completely blown away. It was a combination of a gingerbread house and a picturesque Swiss chalet all in one.

The owners are a young energetic couple who know how to make a patron feel at home. It is a true family venture with a younger sister and mother very much in evidence. Tine Jorgensen is the young wife and Leonard is the culinary arts graduate chef. The restaurant specializes in steak, salmon, lamb, and excellent salads. There is a pub section in the back to the right of the dining room and the pub food offered there is superb. The bar is well stocked and the waitresses are very experienced and extremely well trained. It is a joy to eat there. It is the kind of exceptional place that makes you want them to do well because the owners have worked so hard and have so much to offer.
