Tuscany on Clark

At the corner of Clark and Waveland, this Italian eatery is a good place to stop pre-Cubs night game especially if entertaining clients. The ravioli with pear and walnuts is amazing and I should have ordered it. Instead I was sneaking bites off my friend's plate. I got the pork chops and found them to be a bit too garlicky. The minestrone had good flavor but was heavy on the cabbage and celery rather than the traditional Tuscan bean type you would expect at Tuscany. The bruschetta is very good, with nice fresh tomatoes, but quite a lot or garlic. There is a good selection of wines. The tables can be crammed together and the restaurant can be noisy. Our service was pretty good, but could have been more attentive. When they knew we had a Cubs game to catch, they were sympathetic.

There is a location in Little Italy at 1014 W. Taylor St. as well as in suburban Wheeling.
